Target Species and Tactics
The options are infinite!
On any given day on the Unshakable, we can target a variety of fish species ranging from flounder and croaker to tuna and mahi.
When bay fishing, primary catches of flounder, croaker, sea robin, striped bass and bluefish are very common. When targeting these fish we use a variety of tactics from drifting channels and shallow sandy bottom to casting lures and live bait against structure in hopes of coming tight on feeding fish!
On inshore trips we are equipped with top of the line tackle, rods and reels in pursuit of Spanish mackerel, ribbon fish, sea bass, flounder, triggerfish and sometimes even a mahi or cobia. These fish are targeted either trolling or bottom fishing. Regardless of the method used, there are strong efforts and immense attention to detail from both our mate and Captain to ensure your trip goes as smoothly as possible.
Countless hours of preparation are a definite when venturing offshore in pursuit of tuna, mahi, wahoo and billfish. Not a dime is spared on tackle, rods and reels as we want to be positive that we are equipped for whatever style of fishing used ranging from trolling to chunking.
